A Rational Selection from Material to Craftsmanship

In modern architectural decoration and industrial applications, PVC flooring rolls are widely used due to their waterproof, wear-resistant, and easy-to-clean properties. Faced with a vast array of products on the market, making a rational choice requires a thorough understanding of material characteristics and craftsmanship standards.

Material analysis is the foundation of selection. High-quality PVC roll floorings should exhibit a uniform milky white or specified color, with no pungent odor.

A thumb press test can reveal quality—rapid rebound with no indentation usually indicates a proper plasticizer ratio. Thickness tolerance should be

controlled within ±0.1mm, and weight deviation per unit area should not

exceed 5%. These specifications can be verified by requesting test reports from suppliers. Notably, some low-cost products may contain fillers such as calcium carbonate, resulting in an elongation at break of less than 200%, far below the 300% standard of pure PVC material.

Craftsmanship details determine service life. Examining the cross-section, multi-layer co-extruded products should show no visible boundaries between layers, as this affects interlayer peel strength—premium products achieve ≥

3.5N/mm². Surface treatment is equally critical; an embossing depth of 0.2–0.3mm ensures both slip resistance and ease of cleaning. For applications requiring welding, the type of heat stabilizer directly impacts weld seam strength, with organotin-stabilized products typically offering better processing stability.

Matching application scenarios is essential. Commercial spaces should opt for products with a wear resistance of over 6,000 revolutions, with Taber test data in the inspection report being particularly important. Special environments like healthcare and food processing require verification of antibacterial certifications—PVC rolls treated with silver-ion antimicrobial agents should exhibit ≥99% antibacterial rates against E. coli and S. aureus. For outdoor use, UV resistance is crucial, with high-quality products maintaining a color difference (ΔE) of ≤3 after 1,000 hours of QUV aging tests.

Rational buyers should adopt a "specifications-first" approach, requesting third-party test reports from pvc roll flooring supplier suppliers and cross-checking key indicators against current standards such as GB/T 11982.1-2015. Price differences of 30% often reflect variations in raw material formulations and manufacturing precision—factors that critically determine actual product lifespan. For sample comparisons, a "backlight inspection" can assess material uniformity, while a 24-hour water immersion test can evaluate dimensional stability. These simple methods effectively filter out substandard products.
